Lancaster's Policy on Herbs and Ayurvedic Products
We make available in our practice some of the most common herbs and other products used in Ayurvedic prescriptions. This is for convenience and cost savings to our clients and not to make a profit. Many Ayurvedic products are difficult to find or are irregularly available. Our price reflects our cost plus charges for shipping, administration and carrying inventory. Your price will be significantly less than the cost of procuring these products on your own. If you have found otherwise, please let us know.
The prescription of the physician is independent of the herbs we have in inventory. Our staff will explain how you can procure any products we do not carry.
We only order products of the highest purity and freshness, and from the most reputable suppliers with procedures for quality control.
The doctor will write out for you specific instructions in the use of any recommended herbs: what time of day, with which anupanam (vehicle -- such as hot water, honey, etc.), whether on an empty stomach, and so on. Our staff will make it easy to take the herbs or products by giving you recipes and other hints.
