Fatigue and back pain

A 47 year old businessman came to Lancaster in 1988 with complaints of indigestion, fatigue and back pain. He began to follow a Vedic approach to health which emphasized dietary changes, and two periods of the practice of hatha yoga asanas in addition to continuing his regular practice of the Transcendental Meditation technique. He initially improved, but with the increasing well-being he began to open more businesses.

He continued to return to Lancaster on a yearly basis, and each time he returned, he complained of fatigue, and having felt worse regarding his back and digestion when he discontinued his prescribed program. After seven years of feeling great for three to four months following his yearly stay at Lancaster, and worse for the rest of the year, he began to follow his program more carefully year round. When last seen he had no further problems with fatigue, his back or his digestion.
