Cancer (Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma)
A 50 year old businessman was completely well until the spring of 1997 when he developed a mass in his groin which enlarged over several months. Two other masses developed in the neck. These were biopsied and revealed Non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Instead of chemotherapy or radiation therapy, the patient elected with his doctors' consent to do nothing for the time being. He visited the Lancaster MAMC and began an out-patient program consisting of dietary prescriptions and other behavioral recommendations and an intensive herbal program. He began to feel the nodes spontaneously resolve. He asked his doctor three months later to repeat the gallium scan, which previously had revealed many sites of involved nodes. Afterward the radiologist came into the waiting room and asked the patient what treatment he had taken. The patient responded that there was no treatment. The radiologist responded that there must have been a mistake in diagnosis because the scan was now completely clear.
