Insomnia
A 45 year female farm manager had a lifetime history of insomnia, with difficulty both falling asleep and with frequent awakening during the night. It had been felt that this was related to an underlying depression. She had a small improvement with an herbal program designed to prepare her for in-residence treatments. She attended the Lancaster clinic for a two week program consisting of one week of takradhara and one week of basti followed by a two month program of ghee-based rasayanas. At the present time there is no symptoms of depression and no difficulty falling and staying asleep.
