Welcome to AyurvedaMed.com, the website of the Lancaster
Ayurveda Medical Group! Lancaster has been offering programs in Vedic
medicine since 1986. Having seen out-patients for consultations in
Ayurveda for over twenty years, and having supervised the in-residence
panchakarma purification programs for five thousand clients, I have
decided to apply myself to another longtime area of interest and in which
I spent most of my medical training: internal medicine for hospitalized
patients with acute disorders.
I will also continue pursuing my lifetime
mission of making Ayurvedic medicine known throughout the world through
research, publishing and seminars, which will be the only activities
of Lancaster Medical Group. We are no longer seeing patients in consultation.
"The purpose of Ayurveda is to restore and maintain balance.
Balance is the natural state of life, because the basic characteristic
of the fundamental element of life, pure consciousness, is complete balance."
- Maharishi
Mahesh Yogi
We would like AyurvedaMed.com to be a resource for all things healthy. Because
it is natural, time-tested, free from side-effects and documented by research,
only Ayurveda deserves its place as every family's means to gain extreme
longevity without disease. Ayurveda also deserves to be the first approach
to come to mind if your health has slipped and you need to restore your possibility
of leading this long, healthy life.
At the Lancaster Ayurveda Medical Group, we understand both worlds: Vedic
medicine and standard medicine. Both are presented in our publications and
seminars. Too often, we see health care approached the other way around:
alternative medicine is what we do when standard medicine either doesn't
work or offers treatments that are harmful. Ayurveda can become such a pleasant
part of everyone's daily life, keeping people healthy year round, that standard
medicine should only be needed for those that slip between the cracks.
